AT THE BOTTOM OF THE GARDEN (Teddy Books), by Amanda Glenn is an enjoyable book. The characters, in the book, are characters we know, or know of, with attitudes and attributes to flesh out their descriptions. While it is not a "Gripping" suspense thriller, (I read for enjoyment), it will hold your attention, (until two or three am, if You are not carefull). The senic descriptions are full enough to visualize the image, with out dragging on: pleasing and succinct. The actions, and re-actions of the characters are believable, no "super" powers or intelect is attributed to the heroine, just a refreshing "stick-to-it-ivness", that with help, solves the case.Product details

Teddy is your neighbor who solves the crime. It would be nice to have more character development. I spent much of the first half of the book wondering who was Teddy. The second half of the book I was trying to overlook spelling and grammar errors; too often stopping to reread a passage in order to decipher the meaning. A clever little story to pass the time of day.
I am always disappointed with misspellings and poor grammar. After I read "piece of mind" where in context it should have been "peace of mind" and had overlooked a few misspelled words I quit. Never trust auto-correct...it is not your friend!
I am really enjoying this series, EXCEPT the wrong word choices, misspelled words, and annoying mistakes made it painful for me to read. Amanda, get a new proofreader and editor. The story was excellent and as usual kept my attention. I enjoy a series where I can really get to know the characters and care about them. On to book 5!
An enjoyable easy light read, one were you just have to read the 'next' chapter, I can see a series of about town stories revolving around Teddy, just enough thrills and intrigue to carry the story well, it would of had 5 stars but for quite a few empty pages at the end that left me wondering if somehow a chapter had got lost.
